Grew up in Ottawa,
During his young age he spent studying the dinosaur skeletons in the museum’s galleries
collected the Silurian-aged fossils from local quarries.
graduated from Carleton University with a B.Sc. in Biology
moved to Alberta and started volunteering with the (Royal) Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology.
Recieved a B.Ed in education from the University of Alberta,
M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the University of Calgary
Worked on various of dinosaur fossils with Dr. Philip Currie and Dr. A.P. Russell.

Became Head of Education and Public Programs at the Royal Tyrrell Museum of Palaeontology
