Biodiversity Scientist: Lorne Babiuk
Lorne Babiuk is a scientist specializing in immunology, pathogenesis, virology, molecular virology, and vaccinology.
He is currently the Vice-President of Research at the University of Alberta.
He is also the former Director of Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization at the University of Saskatchewan.
Lorne Babiuk received is B.S.A degree in soil science from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Agriculture in 1967
Received a M.Sc. degree in soil microbiology, soon after a Ph.D. in virology from the University of British Columbia.
He also received a D.Sc. from the University of Saskatchewan from the Department of Veterinary Microbiology in 1987.
